Pearl M. Shaud

Pearl M. Shaud, 84, of Washington Boro, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Brereton Manor. She was the wife of the late Galen E. Shaud, Sr., who passed away on April 29, 2004. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Raymond H. and Hazel Shultz Foltz. She worked as a folder at Kahn-Lucas Manufacturing, was a practical nurse and a homemaker. She was the second longest member of Washington Boro United Methodist Church having been a member there since 1946. She made fastnachts and sold them from her home. She was a member of Washington Boro Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary and worked at the Washington Boro Tomato Festival making French fries at the concession stand. She was also a volunteer at the voting polls and a member of TOPS Club and AARP.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Pamela J. Shaud, Columbia. Two grandchildren: Tiffanie and Haley Shaud. One great-granddaughter: Stella Otte-Shaud. Three brothers: Carl Foltz, Mountville; Donald (Nancy) Foltz, Columbia; and Richard (Mary) Foltz, Washington Boro. One sister: Jean Dyer, Boynton Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by one son: Galen E. Shaud, Jr.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 31 South Eighth Street, Columbia on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Dennis K. Regitz, officiating. Interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc. from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Please omit flowers.
