GREGORY J. WORKMAN
Owner, Licensed Funeral Director, and Supervisor
Greg is originally from Uniontown, PA, but has called Lancaster and the surrounding areas home since 1990. He is a graduate of Penn State and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Greg moved to Lancaster after completing his internship in Western PA. Greg is active with local organizations and community service. He is a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and B.P.O.E. Lodge #1074. He is a board member and president of Mountville Cemetery. He is currently serving as a board member of the Mountville Community Service Foundation. He is a member of the Lancaster County Funeral Directors Association serving as a past president and board member. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association (PFDA) and the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA). He has two children, Holly and Reilly. Greg and his family coordinate and cook the Mountville community Thanksgiving dinner. Greg is the supervisor of the Mountville location.
DOLORES H. WORKMAN
Owner, Licensed Funeral Director, and Supervisor
Dolores "Dolly" Workman, a licensed funeral director, is the supervisor for the Columbia funeral home. Dolly was born and raised in Uniontown, PA. After obtaining her bachelors degree, Dolly graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1988 and immediately moved to Lancaster county to serve her internship at a funeral home in York. She and Greg were married in 1992. After the loss of their first child, a full term stillborn son, they were blessed with two children, Holly and Reilly. Dolly briefly moved to Middletown with her family but knew that they would return to Lancaster county. She and their children are members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia, where she was the preschool Sunday school (CCD) teacher for over a decade. Their children have been her assistants almost from the beginning. Like her husband, Dolly is also active in the community. She was involved with the Pennsylvania Academy of Music until their closing. She is a member of the Pilot Club of Central Pennsylvania and the Lancaster County Funeral Directors Association. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association (PFDA) as well as the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA). Dolly is also part of the family team for the community Thanksgiving dinner. Both Dolly and Greg are very involved with their children's music, baseball, education and careers.
