Charles E. “Chip” Schlossman, 86, of Mountville, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Martha Eleanor Eves Schlossman with whom he celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on June 26, 2016. He was born in Mountville, son of the late Frank P. and Edith N. Schlossman. He was a machinist for Armstrong World Industries for 23 years before his retirement in 1993. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church; a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict; a lifetime member of Mountville Fire Company and Reese-Hall VFW Post 8757; a member of the American Legion Post #429, Ephrata; Columbia Lodge #286 F&AM; Harrisburg Consistory; and the Zembo Shrine. He was an avid Penn State football and Philadelphia Fliers fan. He enjoyed collecting trains, tending to his rosebushes and lawn, and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, one son: Michael E. (Peggy) Schlossman, and one daughter: Dawn E. (Michael) Bullock, all of Mountville. Four grandchildren: Alison (Brandon) Keener, Mount Joy; Cailin (Nevin) Geesey, Chambersburg; Gregory M. and Kevin C. Bullock, both of Mountville. He was preceded in death by one sister: Grace Hemperly.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. Interment in Silver Spring Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Masonic Service will be held at 1:45 P.M. Please omit flowers.
