Stanley Lewis, 74, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. He was the husband of Rose Ann L. Montenero Lewis, to whom he was married for 45 years. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Jack Smello and Dora Schonfeld. He worked as a truck driver for Willow Valley Communities, and owned his own ice cream business. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing poker and betting on the horses.
Surviving in addition to his wife, two sons: Jason J. (Stephanie) Lewis, Long Island, NY; and Jeremy J. (Faith M. Swinehart) Lewis, Lancaster. One daughter: Amanda R. Lewis, Mountville. Nine grandchildren. One brother: Bernard Lewis, Brooklyn, NY.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Friends may call from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
