Ida S. Kennedy, 83, of Lancaster, left this world on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from her home and joined her late husband, Shelburn R. Kennedy, who passed away on March 11, 1985. She was born in Millersburg, daughter of the late Harry J. and Mary Gregg Miller. She worked her entire life in retail, finally retiring from E.M. Herr, Ace Hardware, Columbia. Ida previously lived in Harrisburg, Shippensburg, Chambersburg and the Lancaster area. She loved Country Music, taking long car trips, the mountains, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her favorite saying was "You better or I will bop you one!"
She is survived by her children: David (Marie) Kennedy, Scranton; Cynthia (James) Maley, Lancaster; Shelburn (Judith) Kennedy, Jr., Seneca; Robert (Kelly) Kennedy, Walnutport; Charles Kennedy, McConnellsburg; and Candice (Greg) Williams, Bradenton, FL. She was a beloved Grandma who had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-children: Shelby, Melanie, and Nancy, and their families. She was preceded in death by one step-daughter: Theresa. Brothers: John, Russel, William, George, and Harry Miller, Jr. Sisters: Doris Mease, Carrie Salmons, Bessie Romberger, and Agnes Garmon.
