Walter J. "Jim" Shaub, Jr., 78, of Columbia, entered his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 following a three month illness and a 35 year journey with Diabetes at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Jim is survived by his best friend and wife, Linda L. Rider Shaub to whom he was married for 60 years. He was born in Columbia, son of the late Walter J., Sr. and Mary E. Horner Shaub. He was a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1958 and retired from Anvil International after 40 years of service.
Surviving in addition to his wife, three children: Keith A. Shaub, Mark C. (Charlotte A.) Shaub, all of Columbia, and Lynne D. Shaub, at home. Two grandchildren: Tiffanie L. and Mark C., Jr. One great-grandson: Alaric James.
The Memorial Service will be held at Mountville Mennonite Church, 205 Froelich Avenue, Mountville on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Jim Laverty and Pastor Phil Shertzer, officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
