Kenneth W. Landis went to be with the Lord August 31, 2019 at the age of 67. He passed away at his home in Gap, PA with his wife by his side. Ken is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marie, mother Helen, both of Gap, PA; a sister Charleen Smeltzer, of Mount Joy, PA; 4 children: Renee Scholer, Sean Landis, John W. Welk and Rachel Welk; 8 grandchildren: Ashlee Mast, John D. Welk, Taylor Mast, Victoria Smith, Garrett Welk, Nichole Scholer, Nicholas Scholer, Tristan Imhoff; a great granddaughter, Charlee Carl. He is preceded in death by his father Ken G., of East Petersburg, PA and granddaughter Kristen Imhoff.
Ken was a graduate of Hempfield High Schools class of 1969. Where he was a member of Hempfield Chorus. He graduated from the Institute of Computer Sciences in 1971 and also completed electrical schooling in 1987 at Williamsport Area Community College.
Kenny was known for his love of music and enjoyed played base, guitar, piano and trumpet. Over the years he was part of numerous bands including: Kansas City, Top Shelf Country, Shindig in the Barn, By Faith, Dreams, Byus, Cats on Holiday, Dunamis, Revival 1.3, Timeless and Grace Notes.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at Wayside Presbyterian Church, 600 Stony Battery Road, Landisville, PA on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Casual attire.
