Anna Verkhovsky

Anna Verkhovsky, 85, of Mountville, Pennsylvania, passed away at home, on Monday, November 13, 2023 after a long battle with Dementia. She was the wife of Vladimir Verkhovsky, to whom she was married for 58 years. Anna was born in Odessa, Ukraine, daughter of Mark and Roza Kipnis Bachman. She attended Odessa Polytechnic Institute and worked in Odessa as an Electrical Engineer.  Anna came to Lancaster, PA, United States with her husband Vladimir and son Boris in 1979.  She took computer courses in Millersville University to become a Cobol programmer.  Most of her career she spent working at Dorma Door Controls located in Reamstown, PA as Programmer/Analyst. Anna was a hard working and loving mother.  She was also an amazing grandmother to her grandchildren Nicole and Allan. She will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

To her husband Vladimir she leaves her undying love, unfathomable gratitude for taking care of her during her long illness from the beginning of it to her last breath.  Anna will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind.

Surviving in addition to her husband, her son Boris and grandchildren Nicole and Allan and her sister Sofia.

In lieu of flowers, I believe that Anna would have preferred donations to be directed to the Alzheimer's Association to help fund the research and support programs that will hopefully one day grant us victory over dementia.

The Graveside Service and Burial was held at Mountville Cemetery on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. Arrangements by the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., Mountville/Columbia. To send an online condolence, visit the condolence page.
