Charles R. Snyder, 92, of Wrightsville, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. He was the husband of Barbara A. Young Snyder, with whom he celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on June 20, 2023. He was born in Manchester, son of the late Andrew and Bertha Hatt Snyder. He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways for 30 years before his retirement in 1990. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion Post #469. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, fishing, taking cruises and was known for his Sand Tarts. He and his wife were "snowbirds", going to Melbourne, FL for 23 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife, four daughters: Roxy S. (Don) Pressel, Red Lion; Lynn (Dave) Greider, Columbia; Barbara J. Winters (Chris Graham), York and Sandra L. Snyder, Marietta. Three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Charles was the last of his immediate family.
