Irene A. Shields, 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Emerald Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Bernard A. Shields. She was born in McKeesport, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary A. Secosky. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Peter Catholic Church and enjoyed baking, canning, going out to eat, being served and her family.

She is survived by her children: Christine (Paul E.) McCauley, Landisville; Patricia Shields and Anthony F. (Crystal) Shields, Columbia. Four grandchildren: Tyler, Jessica, Trevor and Troy. Two brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her twin sister: Eilene Bryan.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Peter Catholic Church, 121 South Second Street, Columbia on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Final Commendation and Farewell in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: St. Peter Catholic Church, 121 South Second Street, Columbia, PA 17512.
