Robert G. Peters, 90, of Manor Township, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Bob was born in Manor Twp., son of the late Earl C. and May A. Brown Peters. He was a carpenter, having worked for Wilson’s and Nissley Bridge Builders, working at Bear Creek Dam and various school projects. He attended Central Manor Church of God; was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, serving during WWII. Bob enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, planes, steam engines, and attending the yearly Threshermen’s Reunion at Kinzer’s.
He is survived by his sisters: Janet Yoder, Mountville; and Aletha (Joel) Groff, Hellam. One brother: Kenneth (Gayle) Peters, Washington Boro. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Earl, Donald, Richard, and V. Allen Peters.
The Funeral Service will be held at Central Manor Church of God, 387 Penn Street, Washington Boro, PA 17582 on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Scott Davis, officiating. Interment in Silver Spring Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Please omit flowers.
