Linda Lee Eckman (Chapman) was born in Johnstown Pennsylvania to the late Charles T. Chapman and Rose Smay Wynosky. Linda, also affectionately know as Mummum spent much of her youth dancing and hanging out with her friends. Growing up Linda dreamed of being a wife and mother. Her dream came true July 1, 1963 when she married her late husband Howard J. Eckman Sr. and became a mother shortly after. Linda supported her family working at Kellogg’s for 30 years, where she made a lasting impression on all who worked with her. Linda’s caring nature was felt by all who knew her and her generosity didn’t stop at family and friends but it was known to all. She loved to spend her free time with her family and friends and enjoyed crocheting and donated many of her creations to charity. When she was not crocheting and spending time with those, she loved she was an avid bingo player and enjoyed bringing her grandchildren along to show them off to her friends. Her fighting spirit and never give up attitude was shown to all when she beat cancer not once but three times and showed to all that loved her, they should never give up. Linda is a founding member of Faith United Methodist Church and took great pride in the building and congregation she helped grow to what it is today. Linda’s family and friends will never forget the unconditional love and support she showed to them every day.

In addition to her parents and husband Linda is preceded in death by her stepfather Vincent J. Wynosky, and her brothers Thomas C. Chapman and Bankson Chapman. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Jay Tyler Eckman. Left to cherish her memory are her oldest son Thomas H.
