Tha Lai, 71, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the home of his daughter. He was the husband of the late Keh Paw, who passed away on January 5, 2019. He was born in Taungoo, Burma, son of the late Ten Loo and Mer Oo. He was a packer for Four Season’s Produce, Ephrata and was a member of Westgate Baptist Church. Tha moved from Burma to Thailand in 1991. He lived in a refugee camp where he taught Geography and then came to the United States in 2010.
He is survived by one son: Christian Saw married to Drusilla Wah Wah Pawter. Two daughters: Htee Bwe married to Saw Paw Htoo and Snow Bell. Two grandchildren: Saw Gideon and Esther Htoo. One brother: Saw Taungoo. One nephew: Klu Moo. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
The Funeral Service will be held at Habecker Mennonite Church, 451 Habecker Church Road, Lancaster on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Robert Zimmerman, and Pastors Chris and Dawn Landes, officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. The viewing will be at the church from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Arrangements by the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., Mountville/Columbia.
