Clair L. Crist, 89, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Elizabethtown Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was the husband of Ruth Leppo Crist who passed away on March 1, 2015. Clair was born in Spring Grove, son of the late G. Ernest and Louisa M. Crone Crist. He was an Architectural Draftsman for various companies and retired from J.C. Snavely & Sons in January, 2000 after 25 years. Clair was a graduate of Stevens Trade School, Class of 1953 and was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his children: Elaine R. (Bobby) Myers; Rosemary (Lee) Keller; Fay M. (Robert) Simmons and Allan S. (Carol) Crist. Ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Siblings: James (Frances) Crist; Glenn (Barbara) Crist and Judy (Steve) Bollinger.
The Memorial Service will be held at Reformation Lutheran Church, 2100 Manor Ridge Drive, Lancaster, 17603 on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Mark Chavez, officiating. The Visitation will follow the service. Private Interment in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery Memorial Garden. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Reformation Lutheran Church.
