Dorothy A. "Dot" Bitner, 86, of Washington Boro, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at St. Anne's Retirement Community, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert W. Bitner, with whom she would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on December 16, 2023. Dot was born in Lewistown, daughter of the late Theodore R. and Gladys Espigh Kauffman. Dot was a Nurse's Aide at Brereton Manor for over 20 years before retiring in January of 2005. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Creswell and assisted with the nursery and small children. She loved flowers, Gospel Music, and especially her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband, four sons: Robert (Bev) Bitner, Jr., Mountville; Jeff (Cheryl) Bitner, Conestoga; Jim (Rachel) Bitner, West Hempfield, Twp. and Dwayne (Renee) Bitner, Wrightsville. Eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Five sisters: Esther (late Max) Gaisior; Anna (Ronnie) Casner; Nancy (late Ron) Yoder; Barb (Paul) Kuhns and Chris (Chris) Baker. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

The Private Funeral Service will be held at Bethany EC church, 1165 Letort Road, Conestoga, PA 17516 with Pastor John Smith, officiating. Interment in Creswell Cemetery.
