Stanley Denlinger Weidman, 92, of Millersville, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving daughters. He was the husband of the late Verna M. Gerlach Weidman, who passed away in 2022. Stanley was born in Manor Township, son of the late Amos Hossler and Verdna Denlinger Weidman. He worked at Fulton Bank in the Property Management Department for 30 years before his retirement in 2004. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955, having received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Stanley and his late wife owned Weidman's Greenhouse in Central Manor for many years. He was an active member of Central Manor Church, over the years having taught Sunday School, was part of the Finance and Music Ministry Teams, played trombone with the Worship Team, and served on Church Council. He enjoyed playing his trombone and being a part of General Reynolds Band of Conestoga. He also enjoyed gardening, working in his shop creating things and being surrounded by his loving family
Stanley is survived by two daughters: Jean Long and Darlene Weidman, both of Millersville. Two grandchildren: Stanley Dean (Melissa) Weidman, Jr., Rhode Island, and Jennifer Anne Weidman, Thailand. One daughter-in-law: Linda Anne Weidman, Thailand. Three great-granddaughters: Riko, Harper and Calle Weidman. He was preceded in death by one son: Stanley D. Weidman and one brother: Eugene Denlinger Weidman.
The Memorial Service will be held at Central Manor Church, 387 Penn Street, Washington Boro, PA 17582 on SATURDAY, JANUARY 4, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. with Pastor Scott Davis, officiating. The Visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. Private Interment was in Habecker Mennonite Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
