Richard R. Pasterchick, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, peacefully in his sleep. He was the husband of Violet Hartwick Pasterchick to whom he was married for 68 years. He was born in Clifton, New Jersey, son of the late Stephen and Wilma Stumper Pasterchick. Richard was a credit manager for Empire Carpet, a division of Armstrong, and retired in 2001 as a General Manager for Panasonic, Secaucus, NJ. Richard was a graduate of Clifton High School. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict from 1954-56. Richard was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping and reading. In recent years, he read an average of 5 books per week. He also enjoyed following the college football teams of his grandchildren’s alma maters.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Violet are his three daughters: Susan (George) Diiorio; Linda Padlino and Stephanie (Lee) Szolusha. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother: Steven Pasterchick and one sister: Annamaria Carriere

The Private Service and Viewing were held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Jeff Engroff, officiating.
