Virginia H. “Ginny” Zercher, 97, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Conestoga View. She was the wife of the late Chester B. Zercher, who passed away in 1966. She was born in Columbus, OH, daughter of the late Leonard W. and Viola C. Nocks Pearson. She worked as a shipping picker at KD Tools and also operated the snack bar at Columbia Lanes, which her late husband owned. She also worked as a hostess at the former Copper Lustre Restaurant. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and the Auxiliary of BPOE #1074.
She is survived by one daughter: Ruth Ann (Frank) Roschel, Lancaster. Two grandchildren: Nichole Fasnacht and fiancé Joe Madilia and Michael (Gwen) Roschel. Three great-grandchildren: Chase, Brooke, and Leah. She was preceded in death by one son: Chester H. “Chet” Zercher, and one sister: Margaret Schauren.

The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Silver Spring Cemetery.
