Margaret Anne (Moore) Gable, 93, of West Hempfield Township, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. She married Robert E. Gable in 1948, who passed on January 13, 1999. Peg was born on the Mifflin Estate, the seventh child of the late Paul Coniber and Anna Dorthea Helwig Moore. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for St. Anne's Retirement Community, then for Dr. Landis, Columbia. She also did private duty nursing. Switching careers, she became a school bus driver for Hempfield School District. Ever the entrepreneur, she ran a breakfast service out of her son-in-law's restaurant. She attended Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream School and held various certificates in jewelry design. She loved to cook, craft, paint and travel. More than anything, she loved her grandchildren.
Peg is survived by her children: Roberta E. (Jim) Nagle; Eric H. (Peggy) Gable; Kathleen M. (Nino) Mannino and Robert R.H. (Viola) Gable. Grandchildren: Josh, Erin, Krista, Julie, Nino, and Mike. Great-grandchildren: James, Jenna, Clay, Faith, Emma, Caiden, Cooper, Anthony, Lorenzo, Maddelena and Emilia. She was preceded in death by one son: Michael E. Gable, one brother: Paul and sisters: Grace, Jean, Lucy, Ella, Nancy and Doris.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3825 Concordia Road, Columbia on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall.
