Margaret M. Leschke, 91, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was the wife of the late George A. Leschke, Sr., who passed away in 1997. She was born in Columbia, daughter of the late John and Walburga Paulus Voelkl. Margaret worked at RCA Corporation and operated Sudstown Laundry, G & G Crane Rental and Susquehanna Campground with her husband. She was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, Class of 1950 and had perfect attendance for all 12 years. Margaret was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and enjoyed going to the cabin in the mountains and the beach house at Bethany, DE. She loved bingo, traveling, spending time with her family and friends and her beloved dogs, especially Ozzie and ChiChi.

She is survived by her children: George A. Leschke, Jr.; Barbara Collier and Christine Agresta. Nine grandchildren: Frank Newcomer; Melissa Newcomer; Tom Deascenti, Jr.; Christopher (Allison) Deascenti; Michelle (Mike) Wighaman; Jessica (Adam) Carl; Justine (Shane McGinty) Leschke; Jordon (Derrek) Thomas and Erin (Dominic) Carevele. Ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Peg Deascenti and one brother: Hans Voelkl.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry Street, Columbia on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Daniel C. Mitzel, as Celebrant. Friends may call at the church form 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Final Commendation and Farewell will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.
