Donald E. Beatty, 91, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Mary Ellen "Mame" Beatty, who passed away on April 12, 2023. Don was born in Lewistown, son of the late Arthur W. and Catherine Hannon Beatty. He was a machinist, having worked for Penn Malleable, Caterpillar, Inc. and KD Tools, before his retirement. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.
Don is survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Philip R. (Betty) Loht, East Petersburg; Walter P. (Elizabeth) Loht, East Petersburg; Barbara Whiteman, Havelock, NC; Jean E. Rutter, Lancaster and Karen Rubincam, Lancaster. He was preceded in death by siblings: Katherine Outlaw Wilson; William Beatty; Pauline Tully; Margaret Leeper; Mary Clare; James Beatty; Richard Beatty and George Hannon. Don had many devoted nieces and nephews, including: Pattie Clare (Paul) Troutman and Barb and Jim Beatty.

The Memorial Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Doug Paglia, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. with Full Military Honors. Please omit flowers.
