Jean E. Hess, 90, of Mountville, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. She was the wife of the late Thomas H. Hess, who passed away on June 15, 1974. Jean was born in East Hempfield Township, daughter of the late Jefferson A. and Jessie Sigman Herr. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 8757 Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Beth M. Hess, Blane T. Hess, Jennifer E. (Stephen) Gochenaur, Jessie A. (Curtis) Wilke and Joseph (Rita) Hess. Ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son: Thomas Hess and eight siblings.

The Private Interment was in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join the Hess family at Mountville Church of the Brethren, 60 Clay Street, Mountville on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. for a time of fellowship and a luncheon.
