Daniel L. Kemmick, 80, of Mount Joy, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Jo Ann Herr Kemmick, with whom he would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 25, 2024. He was born in Columbia, son of the late Frederick and Minnie Siegrist Kemmick. He was a heavy equipment operator for Local #542, Halifax for many years before his retirement. Daniel was a member of the Columbia Owls Club, the Foresters and Columbia Fish and Game.
Dan loved spending time with family, especially his and Jo Ann’s great-grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid outdoorsman, most often trout fishing and hunting at his camp in Clearfield County.
Surviving in addition to his wife, three daughters: Cindy A. Black (significant other: Allan Dinkel); Brenda L. (Richard A.) Risner and Donna J. (Merle K.) Martin. Six grandchildren: Jessy, David, Daniel, Joel, Brady and Ethan. Eight great-grandchildren: Ehren, Luke, Madison, Ophelia, Mia, Evan, Ashton and Bo. One brother: Dennis (Martha) Kemmick. One sister: Dorothy Davis. He was preceded in death by one grandson: David J. Lahr. Siblings: Donald, Cletus, June, Jane, Jean and Pearl.
