Lynn E. Nissley, Sr., 71, of Manor Township, entered into the heavenly arms of his Savior on Saturday, June 1, 2024, after a long illness. He was the husband of Deborah Funk Nissley to whom he was married for 50 years. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Andrew H. and Barbara A. Nissley. Lynn lived his entire life in Manor Township and worked as a diesel mechanic for most of his life, starting in the family business, Nissley Farm Service. Later he worked for other local trucking/excavating companies before retiring from B.R. Kreider and Son after more than 25 years of service. Lynn was a skilled mechanic who others looked up to and often sought advice from. He was an active member of Community Bible Church for more than 35 years, and was actively involved with his life group, where he made many lasting friendships. He also served as an elder, shepherd leader, pre-marital counselor and served on the Mission's Committee. Lynn was also an active member of Central Manor Camp Meeting for over 50 years, served on the Board of Directors and was Chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. He oversaw various projects throughout his years of service, including the recent renovation of the historic tabernacle. He could also be found volunteering and assisting at camp throughout the year. He enjoyed yearly beach trips to Ocean City, NJ, trips to Williamsburg, VA as well as numerous cruises with family and friends. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in athletic events and 4-H Shows. He was always willing to help anyone in need and he will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
